WWE legend John Cena last wrestled at the Greatest Royal Rumble pay-per-view on Apr. 27, defeating Triple H in a singles match before thanking the crowd in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and going on hiatus.

There have been rumors that Cena will be back for the SummerSlam pay-per-view in two weeks, but nothing has been confirmed. However, the members of Cenation will be pleased to know that the 16-time World Champion's return date isn't far off.

So we know Cena will be back in a month for WWE's upcoming show in China, at the very least. But we still don't know whether or not he'll be appearing at SummerSlam.

There have been rumors that he and The Undertaker would have a second go-around on the big stage, but that seems unlikely at this point, unless WWE wants to throw them in the card at the last minute.

Cena has only been a part-timer performer over the last two years now, as he's nursed a bad shoulder injury and continues his busy life in Hollywood. Since 2016, Cena has been used mainly in helping put younger talents over, such as A.J. Styles, Roman Reigns, Elias and Shinsuke Nakamura.

The future Hall of Famer is now 41 years of age and has hinted in the past multiple times that his career in the ring may be winding down. Thus, fans have to appreciate every match Cena puts on in the ring now, because you never know when he'll decide to hang up the boots.

Cena has been the face of the WWE for the past decade and a half, but there are plenty of younger talents ready to take the torch from him, if they haven't already. We know he's set to return to the ring in China, but it's anybody's guess when we'll see Cena after that.
