The Wizards are having a meltdown of their own over in Washington. And John Wall was reported to be the star of an ugly episode from a recent practice session.

Internal bust-ups seem to be the NBA's in-thing this season, with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Golden State Warriors setting the trend rather early.

And, according to the Washington Post, several of the Wizards players got involved in heated exchanges with each other during practice last Thursday. Per the report, head coach Scott Brooks and president Ernie Grunfeld were not exempt, as players threw remarks their way as well.

Persons who witnessed the incident claim that a spat broke out between John Wall and Jeff Green, while another went down between Bradley Beal and Austin Rivers. Wall was said to have aimed an expletive at Brooks, screaming "f*** you!" at the head coach after he tried to calm tempers.

The Wizards, off to a horrendous 5-11 start to the season, reportedly fined Wall. And sources claim that the player has been made available for trade along with Bradley Beal, while it is also believed that the entire roster is subject to trading following the meltdown and the unsatisfactory start.

According to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, Wall apologized to Brooks not long after but was still fined an undisclosed amount for the remark.

Beal, meanwhile, is said to have told Wizards officials that he is fed up after "dealing with this for seven years." The player, who directed some of his comments at Grunfeld, reportedly declared that he was "sick of this s**t," adding "it starts at the top."

The practice session apparently got sour after management reminded the team that their three consecutive wins over the past few games hadn't brought them over the .500 mark and urged them to raise the intensity.

Tempers boiled over and, as The Athletic's Shams Charania puts it, the scrimmage became "volatile."

This comes in the wake of an eyewitness claiming that Wizards forward Kelly Oubre Jr. swore at Brooks during a recent match. Brooks is said to have addressed the player in the locker room after his outburst.

What This Means

The Wizards have lost both of their games since the bust-up and will face a tough challenge in the form of the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday night. Their Monday practice, however, was said to be one of the best the team has had in a while.

The negative outcome of last Thursday's scrimmage barely scratches the surface where their issues are concerned. And, that management is reported as being prepared to overhaul an entire roster seems to suggest that there's way more than meets the eye.
