The take-home experience for Johnny Impact following his time on reality TV show Survivor was how strange he felt without his phone.

We currently live in a time where a great many of us are almost completely dependent on our smartphones. In recent years, phones have been equipped with more and more features to the point then they can basically help us with every aspect of our lives. We might like to think we can survive without them, but truth be told if you aren't reading this on a smartphone right now, you're already thinking about picking it up and doing something on it.

Thankfully for those of us addicted to our phones, there aren't many situations where we have to be without them for extended periods of time. At work maybe but even then we find ways around it. Well, what about if you were on a TV show where any form of technology is strictly prohibited? Professional wrestler Johnny Impact recently had to live through exactly that.

Impact recently competed on reality TV show, Survivor, and while that's some great exposure for any wrestler, during an exclusive interview with The Sportster, the wrestler revealed that being without his phone for the duration of his time on the show was an extremely strange experience.

"It was pretty weird to be completely out of touch. There was no phone or internet for the entire duration. It’s pretty nuts when you think about. When you first leave, you feel like weird. I use my phone for everything, even navigating home from the gym if there’s traffic, and I already know the way, and I do it anyway sometimes."

Even though the season of Survivor Impact competed on is currently airing, his focus will be on this Sunday's Bound For Glory. The former Lucha Underground Champion will face Austin Aries for the Impact World Championship on Oct. 14, 2018. If he wins, it will be Impact's first title win in Impact Wrestling. Be sure to tune in to Bound For Glory at 8 pm Eastern this Sunday to see if he can get it done.
