Johnny Impact will have some familiar faces from his time on Survivor cheering him on at Homecoming this Sunday.

Now that we've all had time to recover from the madness that was Wrestle Kingdom 13, it's time to prepare for Impact Wrestling's Homecoming. We don't have long to prepare mind you, as it's taking place this Sunday, January 6, 2019. The main event of the night will feature Impact World Champion Johnny Impact defending his title against Brian Cage.

Impact won the championship from Austin Aries back at Bound For Glory in October. The match was extremely memorable due to the build-up and the controversial way in which it ended. Things got extremely personal between the two in the lead up to the match. Despite being hit with Impact's finisher just moments before, Aries leaped to his feet as soon as the referee counted three, flipping off the fans and Don Callis as he left.

RUMOR: IMPACT WRESTLING CAME CLOSE TO CALLING THE WWE NETWORK HOME

Since that was the last time Aries has shown his face in Impact, unsurprisingly, Impact has had to shift his focus to new opponents. At Homecoming this Sunday, that opponent will be Cage. Impact will have some familiar faces in the front row cheering him on, though. Impact Wrestling revealed via a press release this week that Nick Wilson, the winner of the latest season of Survivor, will be at the show.

Impact was a contestant on the latest season of Survivor, dubbed David vs. Goliath. Even though the two of them started the show on opposing teams, they wound up becoming good friends. Wilson will also be bringing fellow Survivor contestant David Rickenbacker along with him, as well as ten other loyal Impact Wrestling fans. Impact is excited to have the two of them at the show saying "Brian Cage won’t be able to blindside me with Nick and Davie watching my back."

Taya Valkyrie, who Impact married when he returned from Fiji where the latest season of Survivor was filmed, is also in a big match this Sunday. Valkyrie will be trying to capture the Knockouts Championship from Tessa Blanchard. If both she and Impact win, they will become the first husband and wife duo in the promotion's history to both hold major championships at the same time. Check out if they can get it done and make history at 8pm EST on January 6, 2019, on the Fite.tv app.
