AEW superstar Jon Moxley has advised fans who might feel like his upcoming match at Revolution will be too much to simply turn their televisions off or just don't watch.

The former AEW World Champion will take on current Kenny Omega in an Exploding Barbed Wire Death Match at next month's PPV. First off, that didn't even feel comfortable to write; so it's pretty understandable if certain fans might not feel okay watching it.

Jim Cornette threw cold water on the idea recently, referring to it as goofy and unnecessarily dangerous. Moxley obviously feels very differently but has let folks know they could just avoid it.

“I’d say you probably shouldn’t watch the pay-per-view then, or at least turn it off before that match happens," he told Inside The Ropes in an interview.

Moxley reiterated, telling fans if they feel like their children might be spooked, "don't watch it."

“It’s the good thing about AEW, we’ve got a little something for everybody, but there’s really no way to sugarcoat an Exploding Barbed Wire Death Match, you know, so if you don’t want to see it, then don’t watch," he continued. "If you think your kid is going to be a little bit too young to watch it, a little bit too violent for them, don’t watch it.”

Pattycake In The Ring...

Moxley also likened the current era's wrestling product to playing Pattycake in the ring, accusing promotions of advertising violence but not actually delivering when the moment comes around.

“Things, over the last decade or so, have just got so… No matter what you advertise, you can put whatever you want on a poster and make it seem like you’re going to see something super-violent or whatever," he said, "but at the end of the day, these extreme kind of matches have been watered down and they’re just safe and, you know, the same old, same old and we look like we’re playing f***ing Pattycake, and I think we’re going to bring back a real element of actual unpredictability and actual danger.”
