Justin Bieber Challenges Tom Cruise to Fight, Conor McGregor Wants To Host

WWE is known for merging entertainment and wrestling. But, not even Vince could dream up a match like the one proposed by pop star Justin Bieber on Sunday.

It's the kind of main event that would headline a Super ShowDown Saudi Arabia show. Vince might even consider giving this bout a spot at a future WrestleMania. Frankly, it couldn't be worse than the trainwreck of a match recently put on by Goldberg and The Undertaker. It's Justin Bieber vs. Tom Cruise in an MMA octagon.

So, if Bieber challenged Cruise to an MMA fight, why would a wrestling company want in? Simple. There's almost no way Cruise would be granted a license to fight at the age of 56. So, this is the perfect attraction for a company like WWE.

WWE has yet to weigh in on the story and while there's no suggestion they will, don't be shocked if they do.

Sunday evening, Bieber took to social media and called out Cruise. He tweeted out to more than 106 million followers, "I wanna challenge Tom Cruise to fight in the octagon. Tom if you don't take this fight your scared and you will never live it down. Who is willing to put on the fight? @danawhite ?'

UFC President Dane White didn't respond, but former MMA competitor, turned promoter, Conor McGregor did.

McGregor tweeted:

If Tom Cruise is man enough to accept this challenge,McGregor Sports and Entertainment will host the bout.Does Cruise have the sprouts to fight, like he does in the movies?Stay tuned to find out!

What This Means

Cruise hasn't responded and probably won't. He's got much bigger things to do than to give the time of day to someone like Bieber who is probably looking to stir the pot and get people talking. That said, Cruise is also one of the most interesting actors in the world and has a reputation for being a bit odd.

McGregor clearly sees an opportunity here. If White doesn't want this fight and perhaps McGregor can't actually get Cruise to respond, WWE should step in.

If WWE and Vince were smart, they'd consider that Bieber is known to be a WWE fan, Cruise understands good promotion and there have been plenty of times McGregor and WWE have been tied together in the past. This is the perfect storm if Cruise were to play ball.

Stranger things have happened and Vince has brought in lesser names before. This would have wrestling purists up in arms but it would certainly be a ratings winner.
