Kalisto caught the WWE Universe by surprise on Monday when he tweeted out his enthusiasm about becoming a free agent.

The former Cruiserweight Champion has since deleted the tweet. But as we all know, once something is posted on the internet, it stays there forever. You can see below what the now-deleted tweet read:

Gran Metalik responded to Kalisto's tweet and also expressed his apparent excitement about becoming a free agent.

Per WrestlingInc.com, it's unknown when the deals of Kalisto and Metalik expire, so their tweets only baffle us even more. It could be all for fun and games, or it could simply be two disgruntled superstars who aren't afraid to let everyone know about how they feel in WWE right now.

As WWE prepares for a war with AEW, a handful of Vince McMahon's superstars haven't been afraid to voice their unhappiness with where they stand in the company. Back in April, Luke Harper took to Twitter and revealed that he asked to be released from WWE - but the company refused to grant his wish.

Not only that, but it was reported back in January that Mike and Maria Kanellis and The Revival asked to be released as well. But that never happened, and the Kanellis' wound up signing new contracts with WWE a few months later.

Rusev and Lana have also talked about their frustrations in WWE, and it's been rumored that the Bulgarian Brute could leave for AEW or New Japan Pro-Wrestling. He and Lana have not signed new contracts with WWE. Now, it seems as though Kalisto and Metalik are ecstatic about the upcoming opportunity to leave WWE.

What This Means

WWE hasn't used Kalisto and Metalik very well, even though they're two extremely gifted in-ring talents. There are many tremendous superstars that WWE just isn't willing to push, and Kaliso and Metalik deserve the chance to shine elsewhere.
