The man who many consider to be the best wrestler in the world is confirmed for Cody Rhodes' All In show.

There’s no question that Cody Rhodes has made a much bigger name for himself outside of WWE than he did in about a decade with the company. A lot of this success has been driven by his rise to prominence in both Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling and his current membership in the Bullet Club.Iin relation to that, there’s also the matter of his upcoming All In supershow, which he’s putting together with the help of The Young Bucks. With less than five months before it takes place on September 1, 2018, it’s got all the potential to live up to its hype as the biggest independent wrestling show of all-time, especially since another top name from New Japan has declared that he’s “all in” — reigning IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada.

Okada’s participation in All In was confirmed on Tuesday, as he tweeted a photo of himself with the words “All IN” next to it. That gives the event an added touch of star power, as he will be joining fellow NJPW mainstays Rhodes, The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, and Hangman Page, along with a variety of other indie standouts, including Penta 0M, Rey Fenix, Tessa Blanchard, and Deonna Purrazzo.

Also confirmed for the event is Arrow lead star Stephen Amell, who had famously feuded with Rhodes in the WWE when the latter was working his Stardust gimmick. All In is confirmed to take place on Sept. 1, 2018, at the Sears Centre Arena in the Chicago suburb of Hoffman Estates.

Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks’ All In show, as noted by had its beginnings in 2017, when the NJPW and ROH stars decided that they wanted to prove Wrestling Observer Newsletter editor Dave Meltzer wrong, and draw a crowd of at least 10,000 people to an independent event. As of November last year, Rhodes’ dream main event for All In was a match pitting him against Daniel Bryan for the ROH World Heavyweight Championship, though with Bryan having recently made his in-ring comeback with the WWE, the odds of such a main event taking place may have drastically gone down.

Although Cody Rhodes vs. Daniel Bryan at All In is looking like a long shot these days, Okada's presence at the event provides some much needed star power, and it's not inconceivable that more top indie names should soon be "all in" as well in the coming weeks and months.
