As fans await the possible return of Keith Lee to WWE, there's growing uncertainty as to when he'll be back and what his future in the company looks like. It's not clear why he's away and a handful of tweets from the WWE Superstar haven't provided much detail.
Lee sent another tweet on Sunday, this time in response to a fan who asked, 'Dude, what's next?' Lee responded, "Good question. Unfortunately, only time will tell my friend."
While it's too general a message to really read into what Lee means when he suggests only time will tell, it's hard not to assume that whatever path he's taking to try and make it back to WWE is murky and unclear at best. Whether he's waiting for something to heal or he's waiting on creative to find something for him isn't apparent from his response.
Back on May 11th, he tweeted: “Today is a day that can and will define the future. The wheels can have motion and move forward….or…. they can stop completely…….Make your wheels turn. Accept no substitute.” There really wasn't an update after that post was sent out.
WWE hasn't mentioned Lee on television at all since he was reportedly pulled from the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view due to an injury. Speculation was there were plans for Lee to win the United States Title at the that pay-per-view and plans clearly changed as Sheamus is now the Champion.
Hopefully Lee Is Teasing A Return
Whatever is going on with the Limitless One, we can only wish him the best and hope that everything is improving. He's missed each Monday night on Raw and it would be great to have him back in the ring creating meme moments.
Obviously, the first priority is one's own well being. Let's hope his tweet isn't some sort of hint that his long-term future is unclear. If we're lucky, this is Lee suggesting that fans don't have to wait too long and that his return is coming sooner than later and just to hold tight.
