Kenny Omega may be the one Executive in AEW who has a reputation for losing more matches than he's won. The question is, does that matter to Omega?

Last night at AEW All Out, Kenny Omega took on PAC in an excellent match that was put together last-minute because of an elbow injury to Jon Moxley. For Omega, it was about doing what was right for the company by taking the match but it didn't turn out to be a contest that helped his win/loss record as he was submitted by PAC in a surprising loss.

There was a lot of talk about Omega's loss and it was perhaps the shock of the show. Already having put over Chris Jericho in a match that allowed Jericho to move on and face Hangman Adam Page for the AEW World Championship, Omega wasn't exactly boasting a hot winning streak coming into the bout. In fact, fans were shocked he hadn't been given more of a push when a lot of talk about AEW has to do with the fact the company is counting wins and losses as a measuring stick for who gets title opportunities.

So, when PAC — who wasn't exactly an officially signed AEW talent to that point — beat Omega, there were lots of questions around what that meant for Omega and his future.

Omega took to social media on Sunday following the match and the questions around his surprising loss and poured gas on the fire when he asked, "What about that Win-Loss record, though?"

Omega is probably the first wrestler in AEW to step forward and offer to put someone else over in an attempt to make them a star. That said, there will come a point where he needs to stop losing and win a few big matches to elevate his status in a company that expects him to be a main event player.

What This Means

Expect Omega to get a couple of matches with AEW talent that he'll win. This will include a few victories early on in AEW's tenure on TNT and probably a match against someone he can take at the next pay-per-view, Full Gear in November.

If I were a betting man, I'd say put your money on Omega to win his next couple of matches.
