The Toronto Raptors made a statement on Wednesday night, crushing a healthy Golden State Warriors team on the road by a final score of 113-93.

That was without superstar Kawhi Leonard, who was instrumental in helping Toronto beat Golden State in overtime two weeks ago. Leonard was sidelined with a hip injury, but the Raptors still found a way to pummel the defending champions at Oracle Arena.

Toronto's convincing victory caught the eyes of Kevin Durant, who had plenty of praise for a team that just might stand in their way of a three-peat come June.

"They have champions over there," Durant said, via ESPN.com's Nick Friedell. "So I wouldn't call them a young team or say them beating us two times is going to give them extra confidence. They've been ballin' before that, and they're going to be ballin' after they beat us. So they're not an up-and-coming team. They're here."

Toronto picked up its first road victory over the Warriors since 2004, and they couldn't have looked any better on Wednesday. Oracle Arena emptied out quickly in the final minutes, while the many Toronto fans broke out the "Lets Go Raptors" chant.

Point guard Kyle Lowry led the way with 23 points and 12 rebounds, with Danny Green (15 points, five assists), and Serge Ibaka (20 points, 12 rebounds), also chipping in with timely offense.

Unlike their previous meeting in Toronto, the Warriors had their four All-Stars in the lineup, making this Raptor victory all the more special. Friedell added that the 93 points are the lowest Golden State has scored in a game with Durant, Draymond Green, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson all playing.

What This Means

This could go down as the biggest regular season win in Raptors history, especially considering that Leonard wasn't active. Oracle Arena is arguably the toughest environment for away teams in North American sports, but Toronto wasn't the least bit fazed.

Warriors players and pundits may be quick to point out that this victory means nothing when June rolls around, but the Raptors will be soaring with confidence after easily defeating the defending champs in their own building.
