Wrestlers and flat-Earthers are not two types of people you would expect to clash, but they do more often than you might think.

Throughout history, many scientists who were pioneers of their time have had theories that are proven to be incorrect years later. One of the most famous is the age-old belief that the Earth is flat. Even though that was the general consensus long ago, it has since been proved to be wrong on a number of different levels.

Strangely, right here in the 21st century, some people have once again started to believe that the Earth is not a globe and that it is flat. There have been photos taken of our planet from outer space proving that Earth is a ball, however, that is apparently not enough. They are known as flat-Earthers, and their opinion cannot be swayed.

One of the most famous proponents of a flat-Earth theory is a man who simply refers to himself as Russainvids on Twitter. He has recently been trying to provoke a reaction from pro-wrestlers Konnan and Disco Inferno. Well, he has managed to get exactly that from the former, and the resulting almost week-long social media argument has been pretty entertaining. You can check out some of the interactions below.

Almost every time Impact wrestler Konnan has taken the bait, he has stated it's the last time he will be giving Russianvids the satisfaction. However, he just can't help himself, and we are glad that he can't. Konnan has explained that he has seen the curvature of the Earth himself, and also posed the two sticks in the ground 500 miles apart experiment. As you can see, none of that seems to be getting through to his flat-Earth foe.

Our favorite part of the argument between the two so far is Russianvids telling Konnan that people only believe the Earth is round because they are told as much. Shortly after, he then argues that we should know the world is flat since a doctor on TV said it is. Don't worry, Konnan picked up on the irony of the conflicting statements and pointed it out on Twitter for all to see.
