Kurt Angle was sent on a 'vacation' by Stephanie McMahon on Monday's Raw, giving the acting general manager role to Baron Corbin for the foreseeable future. Angle has taken to social media to comment on the decision, essentially apologizing to fans.

It's no secret Stephanie and Angle haven't been seeing eye to eye. With Baron Corbin in Stephanie's ear, after a series of embarrassing matches that saw Angle not come to the aid of his Constable, Corbin wasn't exactly singing the praises of Angle either. So, when Corbin convinced Stephanie that Angle wasn't effectively doing his job, she gave Angle his temporary leave.

Angle responded on social media by saying, "I'm really sorry that I won't be at Monday Night Raw for a little while... I was told by @stephaniemcmahon that I need a vacation. I don’t know if it’s temporary or permanent. I Hope I will be back sooner than later."

While Angle is playing up the idea that this could be a longer absence than some might hope, behind-the-scenes news has come to light that this might be only a small travel issue for Angle and this little departure from his job as GM is only going to last a week.

Rajah.com is reporting that Angle actually has legal issues that will keep him from traveling to next week's Raw in Toronto. Those issues stem from a situation that arose earlier this year when WWE traveled to Montreal. Details on the incident are not known.

It is hard to imagine that if this storyline is going to last longer than a few weeks that Angle would go down without a fight. Could this lead to a match between himself and Corbin? Will this mean a more regular return to the ring for the former Olympic champion?

It could be a quick fix to Angle's lack of ability to appear in Canada but only time will tell.
