Kurt Angle announced on this week's episode of Raw that WrestleMania 35 will mark the final match of his career, and he's set to reveal the opponent this Monday.

Interestingly, Angle might end up having two opponents. According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio (h/t Ringside News), Angle might be dealing with an injury right now. Thus, Meltzer speculates that the Olympic gold medalist could team up with John Cena - with Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley and Samoa Joe among possible opponents.

Cena was rumored as a possible opponent for Angle at WrestleMania 35, but if the latter is dealing with an injury, WWE will want to limit his in-ring workload. Angle might not be in ideal shape to wrestle a quality singles match, so teaming him up with a main eventer would be the safe route here.

Although Cena hasn't been on television in a while, he's all but confirmed to compete at WrestleMania this year. The show is less than a month away now, and WWE will have to reveal their plans for him soon - since Cena will obviously have to build up his match. Of course, Angle will be providing a good indication since he's revealing his opponent(s) on Monday's episode of Raw.

Angle is now 50 years of age and has dealt with numerous injuries over the years, including a nagging neck problem which has plagued him throughout his wrestling career. The 2017 Hall of Fame inductee admitted in the past that he can't perform as well in the ring now, due to the injuries he's suffered. If he's not feeling at 100 percent right now, we can expect WWE to put him in a quality tag team match - thus ensuring that Angle goes out the best way possible.

What This Means

Although some fans would obviously prefer to see Angle finish out his career in one-on-one competition, it doesn't make sense to for him to go through a match that could be very short and all-around disappointing. Perhaps a tag team match is the best way to go about ensuring that Angle's final match is a memorable one.
