As seen on this week's episode of Monday Night Raw, commissioner Stephanie McMahon sent Kurt Angle home and told him to take a "vacation," while naming constable Baron Corbin as his replacement for now.

However, it's believed that Angle was taken off of television so that he can train for a return to the ring. PWInsider.com said that Angle could be training for an upcoming match, though he didn't say if it'd be a full-time or part-time return.

Meanwhile, Bodyslam.net is reporting that Angle will be wrestling on a full-time schedule once again. That sounds far-fetched for a man who's going to turn 50 in December. But perhaps one day Angle will matter "Oh it's true."

Despite dealing with nagging neck injuries throughout the years, Angle has shown he can still wrestle at an extremely high level. He replaced an ill Roman Reigns and helped The Shield win an epic TLC match during last October's pay-per-view.

He captained Team Raw to a victory over Team SmackDown at Survivor Series. And finally, Angle also teamed up with Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 34, where they defeated Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in a mixed tag match.

Angle's most recent match was the 50-man Greatest Royal Rumble in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, four months ago. He lasted 7:59 and eliminated three people before getting thrown out by Elias.

For now, it's anybody's guess what really happens with Angle from here on out. He's done an excellent job as the GM of Raw, generating great crowd reactions while putting on excellent matches from time to time. Thus, WWE would take a massive risk by pulling him from the GM role permanently.

It'd make sense if Angle was taken off of television for a brief period while Corbin brings in the heel authority style instead. But if Angle truly is off of TV simply to train for an upcoming match, the WWE Universe won't complain a bit.
