When Kurt Angle was recently asked who he would like to face in a retirement match, he couldn't give just one answer.

When Kurt Angle finally returned to WWE in 2017, it wasn't entirely clear whether he would actually wrestle for the company. It wasn't until six months after he became Raw GM that he wrestled his first match. Even then, the Olympic gold medallist was only included as a last minute replacement for Roman Reigns who was taken ill.

Angle has wrestled in a handful of matches from that point on, not competing in singles competition until a year later. That was at Crown Jewel in a losing effort against Dolph Ziggler. In his second singles match, versus Drew McIntyre, Angle also suffered a loss and we haven't seen him since. So what's next for our Olympic hero?

The likelihood is that we won't see him again until after TLC. At the PPV, Baron Corbin will probably lose to Braun Strowman and Raw will need its GM back. But how about Angle's in-ring career? As much as he might hate to admit it, his retirement may be on the horizon. When asked who he would like to face in his last ever match during a recent Facebook Q&A, Angle had quite a few ideas.

In fact, Angle listed no less than nine current WWE Superstars. "AJ Styles or Samoa Joe or Seth Rollins or Daniel Bryan. Then you have Sheamus and Cesaro. Corbin. Chad Gable and Jason Jordan," Angle wrote in reply to the question. He did then narrow it down a little to just Rollins and Bryan as he hasn't faced either of them before in his career. We would most definitely like to see both those matches before Angle hangs up his boots for good.

During the same Q&A, Angle admitted that if he had the chance to do his career over again, he would take better care of himself. Hopefully, he isn't currently in as much pain as he has been in the past, but it seems as if a retirement might be coming soon. Personally, we would like to see a similar situation to the one Ric Flair went through in 2008. Angle is told his next loss will be his last and he makes it all the way to WrestleMania. That way he'll be able to face everyone on the list above.
