The Los Angeles Lakers have exercised their team options on Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart, Kyle Kuzma and Brandon Ingram for next season.

Of the four, only Ingram will be heading into the season as a third-year man, having gotten drafted by the side as the second overall pick in 2016, while Ball, Kuzma and Hart - who all joined the league last year - will be playing out their sophomore campaigns.

The Lakers made the announcement via their official website on Tuesday.

A statement on said website reads: "The Los Angeles Lakers have exercised their team options for the 2019-20 season on Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart, Brandon Ingram and Kyle Kuzma, it was announced today by General Manager Rob Pelinka."

Ball, the second overall pick in last year's draft, played 52 games for the Lakers, averaging 10.2 points, 7.2 assists, 6.9 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game last season. He also made it to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team.

Hart, meanwhile, averaged 7.9 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 63 games, also hitting eight double-doubles during the campaign.

Ingram, who is tipped to have a monster season alongside LeBron James, registered averages of 16.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 59 games.

Kuzma also averaged 16.1 points per contest last season, as well as 6.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists, making it to as an NBA All-Rookie First Team selection after ending the season with 1,242 total points in his 77 games to become the fifth-highest rookie scorer in Lakers history.

The 23-year-old forward recently admitted facing struggles on the defensive end last season but claims he's ready to rise to the challenge in this one.

“I remember last year being lost a lot on the defensive end,” he said on Tuesday during practice. “The film just kinda cures all that up.”

“I think I did a better job this preseason of not getting blown by; moving my feet. I think that’s the biggest area. Last year guys were really getting past me across positions. The next step is just learning that five position, getting better at that.”
