Lars Sullivan has issued an apology regarding his continued absence from WWE, letting fans know that he is in a "good place."

Following a promised change to things on the main roster, the McMahon family promptly called up six Superstars from NXT. Lars Sullivan, EC3, Heavy Machinery, Lacey Evans, and Nikki Cross. We have now seen almost all of those stars on Raw and SmackDown Live in some form or fashion. Well, all of them except for Sullivan.

NXT's resident freak was actually the one Superstar from the six above who was teased the most. Vignettes announcing his imminent arrival debuted before the McMahons even returned to TV to shake things up. However, a spanner has since been thrown in the works. Sullivan reportedly suffered an anxiety attack backstage on Raw a few weeks ago and was sent home.

We have not seen or heard anything from Sullivan since, until now. The former NXT star used his William Christensen social media character to give fans an update on his status. Sullivan,  sorry Christensen, wrote, "Lars wants everyone to know he is in a good place, and is sorry to everyone he's disappointed." That echoes what Triple H said about Sullivan when he was asked about the Superstar's status during a conference call last week.

What WWE now has to address is what it will do with Sullivan once he is ready to go. Rumor has it that the original plan was to have the behemoth battle John Cena at WrestleMania 35. That ship might not have yet sailed, but the longer Sullivan stays away, the less likely we are to see that match. That doesn't mean he is necessarily doomed due to his actions thus far, though.

There was likely a time when Vince McMahon wouldn't have been sympathetic towards Sullivan in this situation. However, times have changed. On the surface, it would seem that WWE has been very understanding of whatever it is Sullivan is going through. Honestly, debuting on WWE's main roster is an extremely big deal. We're surprised more people don't freak out or have some sort of attack when their debut is looming. There's a lot on the line.
