There's a great chance we're seeing LeBron James in his final days with the Cleveland Cavaliers, as the three-time NBA Champion will likely test the free agent waters this summer.

James, 33, carried an otherwise wretched and depleted Cleveland roster to the NBA Finals, but they've been no match for the Golden State Warriors thus far. Given his desire to win more rings and get better teammates, one can LeBron to head elsewhere this offseason.

And the west coast just may wind up as the next home for James. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski (h/t Rob Lopez of Def Pen Sports), James and Paul George will have to have a talk about joining the Los Angeles Lakers this offseason.

George was able to orchestrate a trade to the Oklahoma City Thunder last year, when he told the Indiana Pacers he was planning to leave in 2018. George and James have both been linked to joining the Lakers - a rebuilding team that features young talents in Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram and Julius Randle.

Earlier this year, Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer reported that the Lakers, Cavaliers, Houston Rockets and Philadelphia 76ers are the only team's on LeBron's list of possible destination.

Though the Lakers aren't quite ready to compete for championships as of now, LeBron has plenty of business expenditures there - plus he bought a $23 million home there back in December. If he feels the desire to go to the west coast where he has many ties, LeBron just may wind up as a Laker.

As for George, he'll have the tough decision of either opting in and sticking with a contending Thunder team, or see if there's another fit in free agency. Kevin Durant will most definitely stay with the Warriors, which would make George and James this summer's top free agents.

If the Lakers can find a way to net both, then the road to more NBA titles may not be far away.
