New Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has declared that his team would be stupid not to use their youth to their advantage and play a fast game next season.

James, 33, will be starting an NBA season as the oldest member of his team for the very first time and has never really played in a pace-driven system. But, given the physical specimen that he is, no one has to worry over whether he can keep up or not. He can, it's that simple.

The Lakers also brought in veterans Rajon Rondo and JaVale McGee during the summer. Yet they still boast a young core in the likes of Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram and Kyle Kuzma.

James has already realized how fast his new team could spring out of the blocks ahead of the upcoming campaign and he has said that they would be doing themselves little justice if they failed to take advantage of their "young legs."

“You see those young legs out there,” the 3-time NBA champion told Yahoo Sports. “We would be stupid not to utilize that as a strength. That’s just good coaching.”

The Lakers have played two preseason fixtures so far and there are already signs of what they're capable of as far as moving the ball around quickly goes. Ingram, in particular, has impressed King James, but you could tell that the former Cleveland star had a liking for the 21-year-old even before making the switch to Los Angeles.

“[Ingram’s] got the juice,” he said. “He’s going to be a special player.”

"Playing fast doesn’t mean shooting the first available shot," he continued. We want to speed up the tempo to get a great shot and be under control. That will all come. That’s what the preseason is for.”

James, who has been in good health almost all of his career, missed eight games due to back spasms during the 2014-2015 season while in Miami. And he claims he's been good since then.

“I feel good out there," he insisted. "I’m good. I haven’t had issues [with my back since then]. I’m just trying to get everyone involved right now and make sure everyone is on the same page. That’s all. We’ll be in good shape.”
