We knew Lita would be returning to in-ring action at WWE Evolution, now we know who the Hall Of Famer's opponent will be.

On October 28, 2018, WWE will host its first-ever all-female PPV, Evolution. Even though we don't know much about the card at this point and we have almost two months to wait, there is still a lot to get excited about. It has already been revealed that more than 50 women will compete at the event, all three of WWE's Women's Championships will be on the line, and the final of this year's Mae Young Classic will also take place at the PPV.

The first match announced for Evolution was Trish Stratus versus Alexa Bliss. Bliss has often been referred to as the second coming of Stratus, so it only makes sense that these two would be paired together in what is effectively a dream match. Even though Stratus competed in the first-ever women's Royal Rumble match earlier this year, her bout with Bliss will be her first singles match since 2011.

Another Hall Of Famer who will return to in-ring action at Evolution is Lita, and after Raw on Monday night WWE announced who her opponent will be on Twitter, Mickie James. While James is most known for her rivalry with Stratus, she has a lot of history with Lita too. In fact, James defeated Lita for the Women's Championship back at Survivor Series 2006 in the Hall Of Famer's retirement match.

Since then, Lita has competed twice. As a participant in the first-ever women's Royal Rumble match, like Stratus, and she also defeated Heath Slater on Raw 1000. Other than that, the four-time Women's Champion hasn't competed in the ring for almost 12 years. That's a long time, but for Superstars as talented as James and Lita, it doesn't matter how long you're away, it's almost guaranteed to be a terrific match.

So with a while to go yet, we already have our first two matches booked for Evolution. Plus slots to fill in three title matches and the Mae Young Classic final. There are a lot of Raws and SmackDown Lives to go between now and Evolution, and even two PPVs, so a lot could change when it comes to championship bouts. No matter what though, it is already shaping up to be a terrific card.
