Los Angeles Clippers center Boban Marjanovic has reportedly joined the cast of John Wick 3 and will team up with a group of assassins who are very likely to be killed by Keanu Reeves.

Reliable movie site Collider claims sources have told them that the Clippers big man will be playing the role of a contract killer in John Wick: Chapter 3. But they also report that representatives for both the player and Lionsgate did not immediately respond to their request for a comment.

The 29-year-old, who stands seven feet three inches tall, joined the Clippers in January after previously representing the San Antonio Spurs and Detroit Pistons. Born in Serbia, he spent most of his career in Europe, starting out at Serbian outfit Hemofarm in 2006 before eventually finding his way to San Antonio in 2015.

Marjanovic averaged 5.9 points and 4.4 rebounds for the Clippers during the season, playing 20 minutes a game. He scored a season-high 18 points in a win over the Denver Nuggets back in February.

The player isn't new to film either, having made an appearance as Janis Krumins in a Serbian sports drama film called We Will Be the World Champions three years ago. The role of an assassin does seem to suit him, as the enforcers in TV series Into The Badlands are referred to as Clippers.

What's more, Halle Berry is also set to be in the third installment of the hit film series and will play a character named Sofia who counts on a pair of tigerish German Shepards for help.

Marjanovic's involvement in the movie is rather intriguing. While his role is likely to be a cameo one, it could be quite notable as his huge hands could find themselves around someone's throat - or a huge machine gun (because pistols would definitely look too small in them).

If the report is to be believed, the towering center will join the likes of Shaquille O'Neal, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Roy Hibbert as post players who gave acting a go. And who knows? He might just land himself a well-paying, post-NBA career depending on how things go.

Meanwhile, John Wick: Chapter 3 is set for release on May 17, 2019, during the summer movie season and, of course, the NBA Playoffs.
