Los Angeles Clippers shooting guard, Lou Williams, will be sidelined for at least two weeks with a hamstring injury.

Williams injured his hamstring during Monday night's game against the Phoenix Suns. After undergoing further testing, head coach Doc Rivers revealed to the media that Williams would miss some time due to the injury.

He missed his first game due to the injury Tuesday night when his teammates were facing on the Toronto Raptors. It clearly showed that they were missing the spark that Williams usually brings coming off of the bench.

The Clippers starting-five weren't able to create much offensive productivity against the Eastern Conference-leading Raptors — which normally isn't a problem for the Clippers, but because they didn't have Williams to give them a boost of the bench, it led to a blowout loss.

With Williams out, Avery Bradley was given a lot of minutes to attempt to create any kind of offense. Which didn't happen, he played 22 minutes and shot 0-for-six from the floor. While recording zero points and just a lone assist.

If Williams had been healthy, the game might have gone differently for the Clippers. The reigning Sixth Man of the Year Award winner has again been one of the most productive bench players in the NBA this season.

Through 26 games this season, he has averaged 17.2 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. He's also been shooting just under 40 perfect from the floor and just under 35 percent from the three-point line.

Clips Nation

The Clippers bench will have to step-up in Williams absence. They will likely continue to look to Patrick Beverley, Milos Teodosic and Tyrone Wallace to carry the bench until Williams returns.

Through their first 27 games, the Clippers own a record of 17-10 and currently sit second in the Pacific division and fourth in the Western Conference. Their next game comes against the San Antonio Spurs on the road.

If the Clippers can stay above water until Williams returns, which looks like to be around New Year's. Then, they should be able to hold onto a playoff spot and be able to challenge some of the top teams in the West.

WHAT THIS MEANS

Losing Williams for a couple weeks is a big loss for this Clippers team. They have surprised a lot of people because of where they are in the standings. The strength of this team is their depth, which has now taken a hit with the injury to Williams.

Still,  they will need to adjust for the time being without him. The starting five will need to perform a lot better than how they did against the Raptors in their previous game. Once Williams returns, this team will likely be back to being one of the most dangerous teams in the West.
