Becky Lynch wants all the credit for how well women are currently doing in WWE, and she isn't going to let Chris Jericho tell her otherwise.

The meteoric rise of Becky Lynch over the last couple of months has been nothing short of incredible. Ever since she turned on Charlotte Flair at this year's SummerSlam, Lynch has become the hottest star in the company. Sadly, her momentum was halted a little last week. An injury sustained at the hands of Nia Jax meant she was removed from her marquee match with Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series.

In fact, Lynch was likely the only person who didn't enjoy the epic confrontation between Rousey and Charlotte Flair at Survivor Series. Simply because The Queen stole the show while occupying a spot that was meant for Lynch. Everyone has been showering the match and the beatdown with praise since it happened. Even Chris Jericho took to Twitter to congratulate WWE.

Y2J wrote that WWE has made women's wrestling the hottest thing in the company right now. He tagged Lynch and Rousey in the tweet and also hashtagged Jax and Flair. The Lass Kicker replied to the tweet, claiming that she is the one responsible for women's wrestling being on the plateau it's at right now in WWE.

Jericho decided to bite. The six-time World Champion replied "With an assist to NiaJaxWWE for breaking your face of course." The Man is ruthless on Twitter, as demonstrated by her next reply. Lynch admitted that Jax's sucker punch drew blood, but that the concussion was caused by trying to listen to Fozzy's (Jericho's band) last album. Y2J hit back once again, telling Lynch to go back to clown school and work on her comebacks.

Jericho's latest reply was actually posted while we were putting this article together. By the time you read this, the pair's Twitter beef will have probably escalated even further. We hope it has anyway. We didn't think it possible, but Lynch has an even better way with words on social media than she does with a live mic in her hand. Here's hoping this leads to an appearance for The Man on Talk Is Jericho some time soon.
