WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry has sounded off on the NXT stars who made their Raw debuts on Monday night.

Tomasso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Ricochet and Aleister Black were all handed the opportunity to show their stuff on the show following Sunday's Elimination Chamber, with the former pairing up to defeat Raw tag team champs, The Revival.

Black would score a victory against Elias, while Ricochet teamed up with Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor to emerge victorious over Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush following the pair's failure to beat Balor in a 2-on-1 the previous night.

Henry reckons Ricochet made the biggest impression of the four, showing what he's capable of against two different types of fighters.

“I think that the biggest success was Ricochet,” the new "locker-room enforcer" said on Tuesday's episode of SiriusXM's Busted Open Radio.

“He made a really good impression, he came across as someone you’d want to get behind and the action was nonstop. He got to actually show what he could do against a guy on the small, technical side and a big guy that’s a monster. It was a lot of versatility in both his offense and defense.”

There was also some praise for Black, his entrance especially.

“That entrance is Brood-like, Undertaker-like. It’s one that we’ll get behind years to come," he declared.

Ciampa, however, did not impress the World's Strongest Man.

“You want to see people and say it in their own words," he explained. "To come across as if you met them in the streets, it didn’t do that. I’ve met Ciampa and Gargano, that is not who they are. Ciampa came across as if he was docile! What the hell is this? Who is this guy? That’s not Ciampa. He’s got to go out and be Hannibal Lecter like he is on NXT. That’s the guy I want to see.”

What This Means

Henry makes a good point. Why not keep wrestlers in character if fans already know them from watching NXT?

The match, though, was a good one. In their first tag since the ending of DIY, Gargano and Ciampa claimed an impressive victory on their Raw debuts. Hopefully, there will be more to come.
