Philadelphia 76ers guard Markelle Fultz has gone from a promising rookie to the butt of NBA jokes in record time.

And it's not just basketball fans doing the trolling now, it has reached the NFL.

Fultz, who has chosen to stay away from playing as he awaits a determination from a shoulder specialist, has been experimenting with his shot, particularly his free throw. And his latest one took the cake.

The sophomore debuted a new free throw routine in last week, moving the basketball from hand to hand as he brought it up to shoot, later claiming that it's something he plans to stick to

“It’s something I added right now," he said. "Just trial and error. It’s been working nice for me so I’m going to stick with it for now."

Well, Dallas Cowboys' Amari Cooper apparently likes it too and broke it out to celebrate a touchdown on Thursday night. The wide receiver went for 180 yards and two touchdowns for Thanksgiving and mocked Fultz's free throw by going through the routine before shooting the football over the goalpost.

Fultz, though, took it all in good humor, retweeting a video of the celebration and posting a recording on his Snapchat story along with the caption "Good shot boy."

What This Means

Mostly that Fultz can take a joke. However, the Sixers are likely to find many things funny with the situation they've had to endure with the player this season.

It has been reported that, in addition to his shoulder woes, he has developed a wrist problem and is now considering making a move to another team.

Philly has been patient with the youngster up until this point, yet there are reports claiming they've had enough and are now open to trading for the struggling guard. Whatever happens in that regard is left to be seen, but it would probably be best for both parties if they moved on from each other.
