Markelle Fultz's trainer has revealed that the player still isn't fully recovered from the shoulder injury that saw him miss a chunk of his rookie season.

The injury - branded a "scapular muscle imbalance" - led to a trainer altering his shooting mechanics before the beginning of the campaign, something that didn't go down very well with fans.

And said trainer has recently suggested that the player is still suffering.

In a now-deleted tweet, Drew Hanlen, who has worked extensively with the player on his jumper, may have let some sensitive information slip in what could be considered an angry response to one of the Fultz's detractors.

Hanlen is the CEO of the Pure Sweat basketball academy and he also works as a coach and consultant for NBA players.

Kyle Kuzma's trainer Clint Parks, who runs the CPSA Training academy, got under Hanlen's skin when he criticized the 76ers guard during Sunday's loss to the Brooklyn Nets.

Hanlen, in turn, stepped up in defence of his client to admit that he isn't completely healthy.

The social media exchange has been taken off the internet, but there's little that could be done about the screenshot which has immortalized it.

The 76ers have said nothing to suggest that Fultz isn't healthy, with the player playing 24.3 minutes a game so far, and he isn't listed on the injury report.

Hanlen could simply be making an excuse for his client. But, then again, there could be some truth to what he's revealed. The team, on the other hand, could weigh in and provide some clarity over the issue but doing so at this point - if the player is indeed still hurt - would put them in a very bad light.

Fultz currently averages 9.3 points per contest on 39% shooting. And it's likely he will continue to be criticized for his poor form unless the Sixers come out and confirm he's not completely healthy.
