Matt Riddle has thrown some serious shade at Dana White now that he's set to have a run at the WWE.

White, the president of the UFC, cut Riddle from the promotion five years ago after he tested positive for marijuana on two occasions. The 32-year-old has since delved into professional wrestling and has made quite the name for himself.

He's now on the WWE's NXT roster and is poised to make it to the big stage, given the glowing reviews he's been earning since leaving MMA.

White, however, spared no punches when the subject of Riddle's dismissal was brought up in a 2013 interview and he referred to his former employee as a "dummy."

"Well, guess what dummy? They drug test in the real world, too," he said. "You think you're going to work 325 days a year and not get drug tested? He couldn't pass a drug test three times a year, but he's going to pass it in the real world? And I want to know where this rocket scientist is going to make one-hundred and something thousand dollars a year?"

Well, Dana has been made to eat his words as Riddle looks well on his way to earning some real bank in the world of wrestling. And he's made no secret of his grudge against White, having taken a shot at the UFC chief via a tweet on Saturday.

"Hey Dana remember that time you fired me and talked all that s*** on me to the world and called me a loser?" Riddle tweeted along with a video of White's 2013 interview. "I just wanted to say thank you for everything dummy."

This isn't the first time Riddle has had a go at White. And, in fairness, this latest jibe was pretty mild compared to what he said on a podcast in 2015.

"White's a b****. He knows he's a b****. He was born a b****," Riddle said in an expletive-filled rant.

"That's why his mom named him Dana. It really don't matter. I know he ain't going to hire me back—I don't want that job. I'm going to run s*** in the WWE. If they don't hire me, I'm going to run s*** in TNA. If they don't hire me, I'm going to run s*** in New Japan. If they don't hire me, I'll f****** find somewhere else and I'll still make a living."

For now, it appears that Riddle has had the last laugh. And, if he follows his projected trajectory, White could be left with even more egg on his face.
