NXT broadcast announcer Mauro Ranallo took to Twitter today to confirm the announce crew for NXT's new show on USA Network starting in September.

WWE's NXT brand will move its show from the WWE Network on Wednesdays to USA Network on the same night. Now ready to go head-to-head with AEW who will be bringing a live wrestling show to TNT, NXT will be going live starting September 18, 2019. Ranallo has been their main play-by-play announcer for some time and he was recently joined by Nigel McGuiness and Beth Phoenix.

According to Ranallo, the announce team will stay the same.

Mauro wrote, "I had the honor of being part of the first #SmackDownLive broadcast on @USA_Network I am even more excited to be part of the @WWENXT broadcast team with @McGuinnessNigel & @TheBethPhoenix on USA! WE'LL DO IT LIVE!"

WWE made the move official via a press release on Monday night. What is known about the show thus far is that NXT will air live on the USA Network, run from 8-10pm ET and take place from Full Sail Live in Florida.

The show will then air on the WWE Network at 8pm ET on Thursday nights for folks to don't have USA Network, either choose to watch AEW and so that the network isn't just flat out removing the show from its rotation.

What This Means

NXT is popular. The announce team is popular. Keeping it the same make sense. What one might take away from this right, however, is that with rumors Vince is going to put his hands all over the product, he's not changing the announce team. If nothing else, this is a good sign for other parts of the show that may not change under a new set of eyeballs.

All we can say is, thank goodness Ranallo is staying. He's easily the best personality in the company when it comes to non-wrestlers.
