The buildup for a rivalry between The Miz and Daniel Bryan has been ongoing for over a month now, with the eight-time Intercontinental Champion saying the WWE legend "doesn’t deserve to be in the ring with" him.

The two superstars fought numerous times during their tour in Europe last month, but we may not need to wait long for this feud to happen on television. WWE analyst Justin LaBar is reporting that The Miz and Bryan are being advertised for next month's Extreme Rules pay-per-view in Pittsburgh.

Bryan has been feuding with Big Cass over the past two months, and they'll compete once again this Sunday at Money in the Bank. There's a good possibility their feud ends following the match, then Bryan will need to work with another monster heel.

As for The Miz, he's part of the men's Money in the Bank ladder match, and 5Dimes gave him the best odds of winning it at +150. Whether or not he wins, we can expect this feud with Bryan to take off after Sunday.

Many will remember their confrontation on a 2016 episode of Talking Smack, where The Miz screamed in Bryan's face and accused him of quitting on his dreams - a few short months after he retired from in-ring competition.

The Miz is by far the top heel in the WWE today, while Bryan remains the company's ultimate babyface - even if he's only been back in action for two months. The two have shown some solid chemistry on screen before, now we're likely going to start watching them go toe-to-toe in the ring.

And who can complain? The Miz hasn't had many quality opponents over the past year. Now, he gets to build up his heel status even more by going up against arguably the most beloved superstar of this era.

Count us in. We're ready.
