The Miz got candid about fans’ fascination with championship records and Seth Rollins’ reign as Intercontinental Champ, among other things.

When it comes to fans, The Miz confesses that they seem to care more about championship titles than he does. “I wouldn’t even be able to tell you unless people tell me on the internet, ‘Hey, guess what – you have x amount of combined days until you are beating Pedro Morales for the longest-reigning Intercontinental champion, or, ‘You need one more reign to tie Chris Jericho!’”

The Miz, who won the WWE Championship in 2010, has held the Intercontinental Championship title eight times, making him the second longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion in WWE history after Pedro Morales. He has also held the United States Champion title twice and won world tag team champion six times.

Regarding current Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins, The Miz believes that he’s doing “a fantastic job.” He notes that within the last month, Rollins defended the title more times that he has in the past year.

“He’s on a hot-streak right now. His song says ‘Burn it down!’ and every time he goes out there that’s exactly what he tries to do. He elevates superstars every time they are in the ring. I don’t think he can elevate it any more than I already have but I think he’ll keep it at that same level.”

During the 2018 WWE Superstar Shake-up, Kurt Angle announced that The Miz was traded to SmackDown Live. For his last match with Raw, he teamed with the Miztourage, Sami Zayn, and Kevin Owens against Seth Rollins, Bobby Roode, Finn Balor, Braun Strowman, and Bobby Lashley in a 10-man tag team match, which he lost. On April 24, during an episode of Smackdown Live, he ended his feud with Daniel Bryan, who was then confronted by Big Cass, and on May 8, 2018,  Miz defeated United States Champion Jeff Hardy at SmackDown, which qualified him for the Money in the Bank ladder match.

This summer, the USA Network will begin airing Miz & Mrs, a spin-off of Total Divas, which will focus on the lives of The Miz and Maryse, both in and out of the ring. The six half-hour episodes will follow the couple as they prepare for the birth of their daughter, Monroe Sky, who was born on March 27, 2018.
