Additional details on Jimmy Uso's DUI arrest have emerged, following news of the WWE star getting locked up in Florida on Thursday morning.

TMZ first broke the news, reporting that the wrestler, named Jonathan Fatu, was in custody at the time their piece was published and that his bail stood at $1,000.

ABC affiliate WEAR-TV has since provided more on the story.

"WWE superstar Jimmy Uso was arrested in Escambia County on Thursday for driving while under the influence according to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office (ECSO).

"According to the report, at 1:30 a.m. a deputy was dispatched out the area of Pine Forest and Nine Mile Road in reference to a possible DUI complaint.

"The report says the deputy was advised by an off-duty officer that a vehicle was traveling westbound on Interstate 10 in an excess of a 100 mph - drifting from left to right and going out of its lane."

The report continues by saying that the ECSO deputy went to Ticket Sports Bar as a result of the complaint but the car in question was no longer there. He would subsequently observe that the automobile had turned from a road onto a highway while parked outside of Publix. The car is said to have rapidly accelerated and close in on another vehicle. The police vehicle's front radar antenna marked the speed at 86 mph, nearly double the 45 mph speed limit.

Fatu was then stopped and the deputy requested his driver's license, registration, and insurance. Per the deputy's report, the wrestler's eyes were bloodshot, his pupils were dilated and he had difficulty holding the documents. The officer could also smell alcohol coming from the driver side window and, as a result, asked Fatu to step out of the car, something which he had to be urged to do several times.

Fatu appeared to be unsteady on his feet once outside and the deputy asked if he would ride with him to an adjacent parking lot which was "flat, level and well lit." Fatu would agree to head there for a sobriety test and then began asking if he needed a lawyer and whether he was being detained.

The lawman explained that he was conducting a DUI investigation and a lawyer couldn't be present. Fatu then took his cell phone from his pocket and put it in the officer's face, after which he was placed in handcuffs and arrested.

The wrestler is due for a court appearance on August 15.
