Murphy has seemingly been forgotten about in WWE. Meanwhile, his old partner Wesley Blake is without the other half of his Knights of the Lone Wolf tag team as WWE released Steve Cutler a few weeks ago. Does that mean Blake and Murphy might team up again in WWE?

Well, if you look at Murphy's Twitter page, that certainly seems like a possibility.

Murphy took to social media on Monday and tweeted a photo of himself, Blake and Alexa Bliss in their old gear from their NXT days. It's unlikely Bliss would join them in this run -- as she's in the midst of a much bigger storyline with The Fiend and Randy Orton -- but to see these two back as a tag team could be interesting.

SmackDown's tag team division isn't exactly jumping with viable duos. The Street Profits are one of the few legitimate challengers to the Dirty Dawgs (Ziggler and Roode) and every other team has been thrown together. The timing is almost perfect for these two men to reunite.

There hasn't been any sort of hint on WWE programming that these two will reform a tag team. The last we saw of Murphy, he was surrounding the ring with other Superstars as Seth Rollins made his return. He was never referenced despite his and Rollins' history. Blake has not been seen since Cutler was released.

SmackDown Needs This

It might be seen as a step back for Murphy considering he was getting a strong push prior to Rollins taking some time away and Murphy's battles with the Mysterio family have ended, but being in a tag team is better than not being used at all and the timing means they should jump up the tag team ranks rather quickly.

While both men could use this, SmackDown could really use this.
