In response to a fan who accused Mustafa Ali of collecting an easy paycheck and not doing anything of substance, Ali might have dropped a hint about being the mysterious hacker in his reply.

Ali has been quite active on social media in recent days as protests and #BlackLivesMatter movements sweep across the nation. But, on Saturday, he took to Twitter to talk about his absence from WWE, more specifically SmackDown.

Ali responded to a fan's comment on Twitter — a tweet that has now been removed — where an inconsiderate fan said Ali had the "easiest job" because he was at home collecting a paycheck while not appearing on television. The WWE Superstar said:

"Yeah man. It’s real nice to be in your prime and wanting to use the exposure you get to bring light to serious topics, but instead forced to the sidelines for reasons beyond your control. Real nice to not be allowed to do what you’re passionate about."

One of the interesting aspects of Ali's response is that he said, "forced to the sidelines for reasons beyond your control". This could be hinting WWE doesn't know what to do with him, it could be an injury, even travel issues or health and safety concerns. But, could it suggest more that he's not what a lot of people figured he was pegged to be — the mysterious hacker?

It would be hard to imagine Ali being upset if he was the mastermind behind the hacker idea. That's a pretty big role WWE has slotted for someone. If he knew that was himself, why would he be frustrated with such a big opportunity on the horizon?

Has WWE Changed Their Tune On The Hacker Angle?

What if he was, but now isn't? Without any new messages in recent days and with all that's going on in the world right now, is it possible WWE is pushing the hacker angle in the background a little? If Ali was meant to play that role, does his tweet give any hint that WWE may have given all of this another thought?

For all anyone knows, Ali has been told to wait until WWE has decided what to do with the angle and if they don't know where it's going, that could be frustrating for a competitor who wants to be on the show each week.
