The last few episodes of Raw make it appear as though MVP is looking to form a group to surround him, especially as he chases down the United States Championship this Sunday at Extreme Rules. But, is a faction really what MVP is after? Or, is this all a ploy?

Speaking with talkSPORT, MVP did in fact confirm that he is looking to start a stable of his own in WWE. Already with Bobby Lashley as a client, he's looking to add with feelers out there for talents like Shelton Benjamin, Cedric Alexander, and Apollo Crews -- who he'll be battling this Sunday.

He said when asked about forming a group:

“Absolutely. [Creating a new faction is] something I’ve been discussing and let’s see how things go… let’s just say there’s method to my madness! I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised if I can take this… just watch me work! I’ll leave it at that – watch me work."

What MVP means by surprise is anyone's guess. Could it be that he'll recruit someone unexpected? Might he bring someone to WWE no one is prepared for? Or, is MVP simply confident in his ability to recruit talent and that's where he sees his future in WWE, as a manager.

Who Might Be On His List?

The Street Profits and Aleister Black as examples of the names MVP said are performing well and that he's noticing.

“I’m so pleased with the locker room. I’ve had a chance to see the SmackDown locker room and, of course, my locker room on RAW. Everybody has been tremendously cool. I’m blown away by the Street Profits. Those guys are just phenomenal talents,” he said.

He did also give props to the Viking Raiders and Aleister Black who impressed him a great deal in the ring and out of the ring and behind the scenes. MVP even noted that there's a Performance Center full of hungry people looking for an opportunity to step up. "There’s no shortage of people for me to work with", he said.
