Roman Reigns was the victim of a brutal attack on last week's episode of SmackDown Live, and things got even worse and more mysterious on Monday Night Raw.
Samoa Joe went outside of the arena to find Reigns, who was hit by another vehicle in the parking lot. The vehicle that hit Reigns drove off, and the Big Dog was down for several moments. Once again, fans and WWE officials were left wondering who the perpetrator was behind these two attacks.
But ahead of tonight's SmackDown Live show, we may finally know who the mysterious attacker was this whole time. Several fans on Twitter observed the footage from last week's attack on Reigns, and they spotted a hooded Rowan walking away from the commotion (he's at the top right corner of the screen).

It was recently reported by Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio that Reigns will be going up against Daniel Bryan at SummerSlam. That led to speculation that the latter was behind the attack last week, but it would also make plenty of sense if Rowan were the guilty party, since he serves as Bryan's right hand man.
Most of the top heels on the SmackDown roster already have opponents for SummerSlam, so that would leave Bryan and Rowan as the only logical candidates for this segment with Reigns.
It's obvious enough that Rowan was the attacker on SmackDown last week, but it's certainly quite possible that Bryan was the culprit behind the attack this week. At any rate, we'll get answers in short time as WWE (likely) finalizes the Reigns-Bryan match for SummerSlam this Sunday.
What This Means
It'll be interesting to see how things play out between Reigns, Rowan and Bryan on SmackDown. Rowan was clearly behind at least one attack, but how will Bryan tie into all of this? How will they build towards the match at SummerSlam? There certainly won't be any shortage of entertainment tonight.
