Ronda Rousey has been on hiatus since WrestleMania 35, having stepped away to try and start a family with husband Travis Browne, and nobody knows for sure if or when she will return.

It was reported earlier this month that Rousey could return sooner than expected. It's been speculated that she's keen on working with Paul Heyman, who was recently hired as the new Executive Director of Raw.

Of course, it remains to be seen if and when Rousey will return to WWE. Her close friend, Natalya, talked to the New York Post and explained why she thinks Rousey will be back in the squared circle - citing "unfinished business."

Natalya believes Rousey "misses it a lot," and that the Baddest Woman on the Planet "definitely wants to come back. Although Rousey's top priority right now is starting a family with her husband, Natalya strongly believes we'll see the former Raw Women's Champion in the ring again.

"So I believe that that right now is her main focus, but I also think she still has a lot of unfinished business is WWE and so, for me, because she kind of fell in love with it more than she even realized she would, I think she’ll be back, but it’s all about timing and I just think her family is coming first right now and I think every woman can relate to that."

Back in January, WWE said in a statement that Rousey is under contract until Apr. 10, 2021, while outlining that her desire to have a family "a private matter." But the fact Rousey has two years left on her deal is a strong indication that she will be back in WWE at some point.

Rousey's first year in WWE was a massive success in just about every aspect. She did an excellent job portraying both a babyface and a heel. Her program with Becky Lynch was one of the best storylines and wrestling feuds in recent memory, and it's been suggested that the two could rekindle their rivalry once Rousey returns. But for now, we just have to wait and see what the future holds for Rousey.

What This Means

Given her contract status and the fact she was a major star in WWE, it would be a surprise if Rousey never returned to the company. Not only that, but Natalya (one of Rousey's closest friends in WWE) expects her to return. Family comes first in this case, but eventually, we should see Rousey come back to the ring and take care of the "unfinished business" the Natalya mentioned.
