Natalya and Tamina have avenged their loss at WrestleMania, defeating Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler to become Tag Team Champions.

Although WrestleMania 37 was one peppered with feel-good moments, there was one fans expected to see which fell by the wayside. Natalya and Tamina becoming Tag Team Champions. The veteran pair won the Tag Team Turmoil match on night one, only to be foiled in their attempts to become champions on night two.

The pair got a second chance on SmackDown this week, and this time they did not let the opportunity slip through their fingers. The duo is now the tenth Women's Tag Team Champions since the titles were introduced a little more than two years ago. While Jax and Baszler's reign wasn't the longest in the titles' history, their two runs combined means they have now been champions longer than any other pair to have won the titles so far.

As for Natalya and Tamina, while it might not be the former's first championship win in WWE, it is her first time as a Tag Team Champion. The win is even more significant for Tamina. Despite this month marking 11 years since Tamina's WWE debut, this is the first time she has ever held a title. Other than the 24/7 Championship which we're not sure really counts.

The victory is also another mark in the incredibly impressive tally that is the number of matches Natalya has wrestled in WWE. While there are mixed reports as to exactly how many matches Nattie has competed in while with WWE, it seems as if she is fast approaching the 1400 mark. That puts her in the company of people like Kane and Dolph Ziggler, and may even place her in the top five.

Few would argue that WWE hasn't exactly been treating the Women's Tag Titles with the respect they deserve for a while now. Apparently it took some persuading from Natalya for the two matches revolving around them at WrestleMania to even be included on the card. If true, it makes it even sweeter that she is now holding one of those titles. Perhaps she gave up winning the belts that weekend in favor of the matches not being relegated to SmackDown.
