It's been a busy week in the NBA for rumors. There's a lot going on in basketball including speculation on a trade that would involve Jimmy Butler leaving the Minnesota Timberwolves and heading to the Miami Heat, Chris Bosh saying he's not retired from basketball despite what people are saying, Anthony Davis' name popping up as a possible trade candidate out of New Orleans and Kyrie Irving making a decision about his future with the Boston Celtics.

How much of what is out there is true. Well, we can't be certain and much of this is only speculation but with all that going on, here are the biggest rumors from October 6-13, 2018.

Jimmy Butler Trade Speculation

Butler, who has repeatedly made it clear he has no desire to stay with the Minnesota Timberwolves, stayed true to his word he'd cause a scene and lost his mind during a practice with the team this week. He called out almost everyone, shocking his fellow teammates and forcing the NBA commissioner to comment. This has only led to more speculation that he needs to be traded sooner than later.

But, it was revealed during a players-only meeting that Butler will play during the regular season for the Timberwolves if a trade agreement isn't reached. Trade talks possibly sending Butler to the Miami Heat broke down and that could be part of the reason Butler was so frustrated.

Chris Bosh Not Retired

Chris Bosh is looking to make a return to the NBA, and potentially with the New York Knicks if they'll offer him a deal and he can get cleared by team doctors. He called the idea of an NBA return "complicated" but he shot down rumors during an interview that he was retired.

Bosh has been away from the NBA on a two-year absence due to blood clots that could be problematic if he returns to the game. There has been speculation he was done for good after seasons with the Toronto Raptors and Miami Heat but he says he's not ready to call it quits yet and is working on getting back to the game he loves.

Anthony Davis A Trade Candidate Next Season?

via yardbarker.com

Anthony Davis will be a free agent in two summers and speculation is he could already be making plans for his exit from the New Orleans Pelicans.  Davis signed a five-year extension in 2015 with the addition of a player option for the 2020-2021 season but there are reports he'll opt out of that deal and look to join either the Los Angeles Lakers or Boston Celtics.

If true, obviously New Orleans would not want to lose Davis and any return in trade would be massive so it might be in their best interest to move him if they know he's going to leave in 2020. Davis qualifies for a supermax deal so he's going to be expensive for whatever team acquires him. According to Chris Sheridan of Get More Sports, Davis is considering playing with the Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks or Philadelphia 76ers.

Kyrie Irving recently made it clear his intention is to re-sign with the Boston Celtics. This past Thursday, he sat in the center of Boston's home court and announced his plans to sign an extension with the organization if they'd like him to and help ensure the Celtics are a dominant team for the next many years.

Along with his announcement, Irving invited a ton of the team over to his house to let them know the same thing personally.  His teammates called it a nice surprise, a good way to put the speculation behind them and focus on basketball this season.
