After news Kairi Sane might be leaving North American and possibly WWE, but heading back to Japan where should we work for WWE as an ambassador, there's a surprising development on Tuesday as it appears WWE is offering her a new deal.

Over the past week, a number of reports cited the future of Kairi Sane as complicated. Some sources said she was moving on from WWE, others suggested she was staying with the company but heading back to Japan to be closer to her husband and work as a WWE ambassador there.

Sane was removed from promos for last night's Raw, then showed up in the first hour of the show, but even still, it was unclear if she'd be just wrestling this and next week then leaving, or if she was sticking put.

Dave Meltzer was among the first to note that Sane's contract was expiring and that WWE was aware of Kairi Sane's desire to work on a career-ending storyline with Asuka at SummerSlam. With Heyman now out, that may have changed.

Now, talkSPORT is reporting that its sources suggest Sane isn't going anywhere. WWE is very much interested in persuading her to sign a new deal and stay with the company,  offering her more money than she could get anywhere else.

The question will now become how badly she wants to go to Japan or not.

So, What Next For Sane?

If Sane chooses to re-sign, it's possible we could see a change in Women's Tag Team Titles next week on Raw, with another change coming to Bayley's status as SmackDown Women's Champion. It would be a massive swing in women's title holders as three-out-of-four possible championships would change hands.

Obviously, the titles don't need to change for Sane to choose WWE over another option. But it doesn't make sense for her to win the gold if she's leaving.
