While Nia Jax did not come out and confirm the specific injury right away, she took to social media to tell fans she'd be away from WWE for a while.

Earlier reports were that Jax was suffering from torn ACL injuries and was going to require surgery. In a long line of injured WWE Superstars, Jax was the latest to be added to the list. At first, Jax took to social media to say that she'd be missing significant time and sent fans a photo to remember her by.

She wrote on Twitter, simply, “gone for a while”. She later posted another update saying:

Some of you may or may not know, but I will be out of action for a little while. Unfortunately, I have been pushing through some pain over the last year due to injuries in my knees and I will be undergoing surgery to repair both of my ACLs. I'm grateful to everyone who has supported me!"

Pro Wrestling Sheet first reported Jax's injuries and that she would need to undergo surgery. They did not report and WWE has not mentioned any sort of timetable for her return at this point.

What This Means

This now adds Jax to a list that already consisted of AJ Styles, Big E, Ronda Rousey, and Daniel Bryan. For the Women's Division, it's a big loss for WWE and for Jax, it could mean significant time away. Her injuries may be the most severe of any Superstars reported since WrestleMania 35.

What this means for her partner Tamina is also unclear. The two were inseparable on Raw over the past few months and without Jax, it's hard to know if WWE will push Tamina or set her on the sidelines while Jax recovers. It could be that the Superstar Shake-up is coming at the exact right moment for Tamina not to get lost in the shuffle.
