Before last season, Tom Brady had a 5-2 record in Super Bowls with his two losses both coming at the hands of Eli Manning and the NY Giants. But in the 2017-2018 season, Brady and the Patriots ran into Nick Foles and the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII and came out on the losing end for the first time to a non-Giants team. Then a few months later, Foles beat Brady again — this time in NFL merchandise sales!

And he didn't just top Brady on that list either. Nick Foles, the Super Bowl winning QB—who only got the job when Eagles starting Quarterback Carson Wentz was injured near the end of the regular season—was the top-ranking player in the NFL in all merchandise sales from March to May 2018.

Rounding out the top five has Brady in the two spot, Wentz in third, Giants first round pick (and second pick overall) Saquon Barkley is in the fourth spot and Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott sits at number five. ESPN is also reporting some of the biggest movers on the list both up and down.

One player who had a big jump up the list is the new Quarterback of the Minnesota Vikings, Kirk Cousins who saw his sales go from 48 a year ago to 16 this year. And a few guys who saw their sales drop include: LA Rams running back Todd Gurley who dropped from 27 to 50 and two-time Super Bowl winner Eli Manning who stands at 48 this year compared to 36 a year ago.

There were also a few newcomers to the first-quarter list, including San Fransisco QB Jimmy Garoppolo who saw him break right into the top 10 at number eight, and three 2018 draft picks: Sam Darnold (number 20), Baker Mayfield (number 30) and Shaquem Griffin (number 43)

Whiles Foles' numbers are for total merch sales, Saquon Barkley sold the most jerseys of any player for the quarter and Brady had the most youth and college jersey sales among all NFL players.
