Nikki Bella has revealed that she won't ever be able to wrestle again, having discovered that she's carrying a cyst on her brain.

Bella appeared on NBC's The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday night, alongside her twin sister Brie Bella, to discuss their futures and their R-rated podcast, among other things.

Nikki would reveal that she and Brie had considered returning to the ring to compete for the new Women's tag titles. But, having undergone medical screening, doctors became aware of various health issues that have forced her into permanent retirement.

The 35-year-old has a herniated disc just above a spot she had neck surgery on in 2016 and there's also inflammation around the metal in her neck. Doctors also discovered that she's got a cyst on her brain, something which leaves her unable to ever get back into the ring.

“For me, I really wanted to go back and fight for the [Women’s] Tag Team Titles," she said on the show (via transcription from 411Mania). "I’ve always had my neck issues, and after neck surgery, like — it hasn’t been okay. I felt like I needed to get a checkup before we went back for the tag titles. It came back that I herniated the disc above where I had surgery, I had all this inflammation around the metal, and then I have a cyst on my brain. So, they were like, ‘You’re done. No more. You’re out.’ So, I didn’t get a choice.”

Nikki's announcement spells her exit from wrestling, but she says her sister will eventually make a return, adding that she'd love to see her compete in a mixed tag alongside her husband Daniel Bryan against Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch.

This is really quite sad and fans will feel for Nikki, yet she appeared to be in very good spirits and is already looking forward to her retirement party.

We at TheSportster would like to wish her the very best.
