PEOPLE reported Monday that John Cena and Nikki Bella were "basically back together," just a month after the two called off their engagement and ended their six-year relationship.
However, Nikki quickly put an end to any hope among WWE fans that her and Cena were back together. On the Bella twins' official Twitter account, Nikki shared the following message:
The lies... damn can make a girl want to hide... these articles are so incorrect. One day I would love to meet these “sources.”
And with that, we all have to hold our horses and wait to see how things play out. It's possible that Cena and Bella are seeing each other more and may resume their relationship. But if that's the case, she certainly doesn't want us knowing about it.
The source who talked to PEOPLE said that Cena and Bella had kept in contact, and "their commitment is stronger than ever." The source added that she was about to move back in with Cena, and that they'd be married next year with a child on the way.
TMZ Sports reported over the weekend that Cena and Bella were spotted together in San Diego, which led to more speculation that the pair were on the verge of resuming their relationship. With that, it was easy to buy the story reported by PEOPLE. That was until Nikki shut it down, though.
The situation with Cena and Bella appears to be very complex at the moment. Both have detailed the heartbreak they're going through, and recent reports suggest they still very much care about one another. The fact they've supposedly been spending time together is all WWE fans need to hope that they will get back together.
But Nikki pretty much shut down any rumors that her and Cena are together again.
