With Hulk Hogan being reinstated into the WWE Hall of Fame, long-time fans of the legendary New World Order stable can now hold out hope that the group will reunite in the future.

The original three members — Hogan, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash - last appeared on WWE programming at WrestleMania 31. There, they interfered in a match between Sting and Triple H - who had his former D-Generation X partners ringside.

But according to TicketDrew (who's broken news stories in the past), it's possible that an NWO appearance on the network or one-off could take place in the future.

Since retiring from full-time work in the ring, Nash, Hogan and Hall have all made sporadic appearances in the WWE, with all under legends contracts. WWE fired Hogan in 2015 following leaked audio tapes of him using racial slurs. Now that he's reinstated, we can expect the promotion to bring him back soon enough.

The NWO faction was formed 22 years ago at the Bash at the Beach pay-per-view, for the WCW promotion. Hogan pulled off the most shocking heel turn in the history of professional wrestling, siding himself with the villainous Hall and Nash duo by attacking long-time babyface Randy Savage.

The faction saw many breakups and reunions until WCW was bought out by Vince McMahon in 2001 to end the Monday Night Wars for good. WWE then brought back Hall, Hogan and Nash - who reformed the NWO stable for a couple of months before breaking up once again.

Even though the nWo hasn't been together in storyline for almost 20 years, their impact on the wrestling industry hasn't been forgotten. It would be great for nostalgic sake if we saw them reunite at least one more time - be it on television or on the WWE Network. For now, fans just have to wait it out and see if we get one more get-together. It would be, should we say, too sweet?
