NXT Stars Take It In Turns Performing Classic Finishers On Adam Cole

A litany of NXT's top babyfaces teamed up and took it in turns to perform iconic finishers on Adam Cole at a live event last weekend.

Every time a crop of big NXT stars are called up to Raw and SmackDown Live, there's a fear among some fans that the black and yellow brand will suffer without them. However, NXT has proved time and time again that there really is nothing to worry about. Between fresh signings and homegrown talent, there is always at least three hungry wrestlers for every one empty spot.

Right now though, the very top of the NXT card may be stronger than it has ever been. It is also evident that there are certain stars Triple H doesn't want to let go of quite yet. The likes of Johnny Gargano and Aleister Black who have been kept at Full Sail for now while Lars Sullivan and EC3 are main roster-bound.

RELATED: WHAT FANS NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE SIX NXT CALL-UPS

You only need to watch the video below to see exactly how stacked the babyface side of NXT's men's roster alone is right now. After the main event match between Ricochet and Velveteen Dream, and Johnny Gargano and Tomasso Ciampa at an NXT live event last weekend, chaos ensued. Somehow, the events that unfolded after the match left Adam Cole in the ring all alone.

Well, all alone aside from the six babyfaces surrounding him like lions circling a gazelle. Some of the stars then proceeded to deliver classic finishers to the Undisputed ERA leader. EC3 got things underway with a Stone Cold Stunner, Ricochet followed up with a Rock Bottom, and Velveteen Dream rounded off the night with an Atomic Leg Drop. The best part was the other five guys taking bumps from the force of Dream dropping the leg.

The future, as always, is bright for NXT. Of the seven people in the ring in the video above, plus Gargano and Ciampa, only one of them has been snapped up by Vince McMahon in the latest round of roster call-ups. That being said, a few more will likely move on up after WrestleMania 35. The boss has to take notice of Dream incessantly asking for a call-up eventually.
