While the move might not be permanent, two WWE NXT wrestlers could be on their way to SmackDown as part of a storyline with Baron Corbin.

According to a new report from Fightful Select, the story goes that Danny Burch and Killian Dain were set to work with SmackDown's 'King' at yesterday's SmackDown tapings. Considering the chaos that overtook the production of Monday's Raw and last-minute changes to all productions this week, this idea could be scrapped, but the latest buzz seems to be that this will be a part of a future SmackDown show.

On Tuesday, WWE was scheduled to film one episode of SmackDown and one episode of 205 Live. If Burch and Dain show up on SmackDown, it will be interesting to see what's in store for them and how, exactly, they fit into King Corbin's plans? Are they going to take him up on his king's ransom to take out Matt Riddle?

What if this move is more than a one-time shot and Corbin is creating a heel faction? It appears WWE has gone in that direction of late, forming the Hurt Business, Retribution, Seth Rollin's Messiah group, and others. And, will the group include Chad Gable?

It was just this past Friday on SmackDown that Gable appeared to align himself with Corbin, taking the King up on his offer to attack Riddle after the King of Bros jumped Corbin.

Why These Two?

Burch has been in and out of the WWE system since 2011. Dain, meanwhile, was a part of the SAniTy faction and went back to NXT when that group fizzled out on the SmackDown brand. For Dain, he's also the real-life husband of Nikki Cross, so that could be part of the reason he was chosen to make the jump.

If their debuts don't happen on SmackDown, it will be interesting to see if WWE has changed their minds or simply pushed things back a week.
