NXT TakeOver returns to Chicago this Saturday and, as always, the card is looking stacked. Not with quantity like the main card PPVs tend to do, but with quality. The NXT Title, Women's, and Tag Championships will all be on the line, Velveteen Dream wants to prove that he is better than Ricochet, but there is one match that stands out above all others. That is, of course, the street fight between Johnny Gargano and Tomasso Ciampa.

Aleister Black vs Lars Sullivan for the NXT Championship

via wwe.com

Even though Aleister Black hasn't been an NXT Superstar for very long, fans are already in love with him and were basically clamoring for him to become the brand's champion from the moment he walked in the door. Well, at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans that wish was granted. So far, The Dutch Destroyer has not had to defend his gold. Johnny Gargano was supposed to have a shot but was scuppered by Tomasso Ciampa, more on that later. That means Black's first ever NXT Title defense is against someone who is very different from Gargano, Lars Sullivan. There hasn't been a massive amount of build to this match, but don't let that make you think it won't be worthy of this weekend's TakeOver for a second. Black needs to figure out how to stop Sullivan, and you'll need to tune in to find out if he can.

Johnny Gargano vs Tomasso Ciampa in a Chicago Street Fight

via wwe.com

More on Johnny Gargano now as promised, and onto what has probably been the hottest rivalry in wrestling over the past six months or more. Technically this actually all began one year ago at the first NXT TakeOver: Chicago. Tomasso Ciampa turned his back on his tag team partner and best friend and they have been feuding ever since. For a large chunk of that time, Ciampa was on the sidelines with an injury. Having to watch Gargano ascend up the singles ranks only fueled his rage. Since returning he has been dead set on ruining Gargano's career. It led to an incredible main event over WrestleMania weekend, and this match could very well close the show once again in Chicago on Saturday. Prepare for what may be the very violent final chapter of this epic rivalry.

Shayna Baszler vs Nikki Cross for the NXT Women's Championship

via wwe.com

Ember Moon fought to become NXT Women's Champion for an awfully long time, engaging in some epic battles with Asuka and always coming up just short. Then The Empress of Tomorrow left, and Moon successfully scooped up the title after a very long wait. Enter Shayna Baszler. The Queen of Spades did not mess around after signing for NXT and took no time at all to strip Moon of the championship. The former UFC star has been ruling over the black and yellow brand's women's division with an iron fist ever since. On Saturday though she will be opposite someone who doesn't seem to be aware of the concept of fear, Nikki Cross. Sanity's female member is afraid of nothing, something she proved by literally stealing Baszler's title off of her shoulder recently. What will happen when that fearlessness comes up against the champ's aggression in a wrestling match though?

Ricochet vs Velveteen Dream

via wwe.com

Some matches in NXT are built on rivalries and the opponents' white-hot burning hate for each other. Others are built on championships and the incredible Superstars chasing them. At every TakeOver though, there is normally a match based on ego. Two competitors who don't necessarily hate each other, but want to prove that they are one of the best. More often than not recently, those matches have included Velveteen Dream. NXT TakeOver: Chicago will be no different. Dream will go one on one with the high flying Ricochet, and it might very well be the match of the night. Dream has claimed that anything Ricochet can do, he can do better. Well on Saturday he will get his opportunity to prove that.

Undisputed ERA vs Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch for the NXT Tag Team Championships

via wwe.com

Last but not least, a tag team match that has flown under the radar a little because of everything else going on. Not only because of the other high profile matches on the TakeOver card, but also because of the NXT/UK Title Tournament shows coming up in London on Monday and Tuesday. The NXT Tag Team Titles will be defended there too, but whose waists will they be around? Undisputed ERA has been ruling over pretty much all of NXT recently, especially since they added Roderick Strong to their ranks over WrestleMania weekend. Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch had the last laugh on NXT TV this week, but they will need to be at the very top of their game if they want to win those titles in Chicago on Saturday.
