Jon Gruden mentioned a couple of weeks ago that players around the league were dying to play for the Raiders. Apparently, not even his own players want to play for him anymore.

After nine games and a 20-6 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers last weekend, the Raiders are officially the worst team of the NFL. They have been outscored by a combined 75-9 since going up 28-21 against the Indianapolis Colts in the third quarter three weeks ago, and with one lonely W against the Cleveland Browns in Week 4, there’s a high probability that Oakland finish the season at 1-15.

And the problems are not only on but also off the field. With the unexpected departures of the Pro Bowlers Khalil Mack and Amari Cooper, things seem to be tense in the Raiders’ locker room. The situation has gotten to the point where some players might not want to keep wearing Black and Silver anymore.

According to Matt Schneidman of San Jose Mercury News, after Chargers’ game, one veteran told to another that it was time to leave.

“Raiders veteran walked past three reporters as he left the locker room and said to another veteran, ‘I gotta get the (expletive) outta here,’ before exiting the double doors to the bowels of the Coliseum,” Schneidman reported.

And it would not be strange if the wishes of this player come true since it looks that Gruden hasn’t finished cleaning house after releasing the veteran pass-rusher Bruce Irvin a couple of weeks ago. This added to the unexpected list of Raiders names who have left the team this year, with cornerback Dominique Rodger-Cromartie, Cooper and Mack.

Schneidman reported as well that quarterback Derek Carr didn’t look as optimistic as he usually does after Sunday’s defeat. Carr noted that something had happened that frustrated him but he didn’t want to talk about it.

“Deep down, I’m good. I promise. It just kind of bugged me,” he said. “Nothing to do with me and I’m not going to tell you.”

With seven more weeks left in the schedule and a broken locker room, everything seems to indicate that we are still far from seeing the end of this year's Raiders' soap opera.
