Pete Dunne Wants A Match Against Brock Lesnar

Pete Dunne's list of dream opponents is a long one, but the name at the very top of it is the current Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar.

Pete Dunne surpassed yet another massive milestone this week. Thursday marked the 600th day of his time with the WWE United Kingdom Title. During a time where title reigns can sometimes last literally minutes, it is an extremely impressive feat. His reign even dwarves the recent runs of AJ Styles and Brock Lesnar with their respective World Titles.

That UK Title run may well come to an end this Saturday on what will be day 602 for The Bruiserweight as champion. That's because he will defend his gold against Joe Coffey at the first ever NXT UK TakeOver in Blackpool. The two men are scheduled to main event the show and you can guarantee it will be a hard-hitting affair.

Whether Dunne wins at TakeOver or not, he already has his sights set on what the future might hold for him in WWE. The Bruiserweight made an appearance on E&C's Pod Of Awesomeness recently and discussed some of his dream opponents. "The one that I always say would be sort of a dream match for me would be Brock Lesnar," Dunne revealed. "A lot of guys my size don't wrestle the style that I do, so I think that would be really interesting for people to watch."

As highlighted above, Dunne and Lesnar have something in common. Both men saw their respective title reigns surpass the 500-day mark in 2018. However, The Beast lost his gold and then won it back a couple of months later. Dunne's reign remains unbroken. We would love to see these two clash, though. We tend to agree with Dunne that even though there is a size difference, his style would lend itself well to Lesnar.

Lesnar wasn't the only name on Dunne's wishlist. Other main roster stars he wants to face someday include AJ Styles and Rey Mysterio. He also revealed that he is far from done with his peers in NXT. Dunne and Matt Riddle tangled a little on the independent scene and the former would love to reacquaint himself with The King Of Bros. We'd like to see all of these matches happen, but agree that a clash with Lesnar should be at the top of the list.
